laser therapy

  • Accelerate healing
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Eliminate pain

The practise of deep tissue laser therapy to specific areas on the body can stimulate & enhance cell function; the absorbed light is converted to chemical energy that accelerates tissue repair & amplifies healing.

The therapeutic outcomes from laser treatments include:

  • Pain relief
  • Inflammation reduction
  • Tissue repair & cell growth
  • Reducing fibrous tissue formation
  • Improved nerve function

Clinical therapy treatments can be useful in:

  • Musculoskeletal conditions
    • Sprains, strains and ligament/tendon tears
    • Carpal tunnel or repetitive stress syndrome
    • Herniated discs
    • Fibromyalgia
  • Inflammation
    • Tendonitis
    • Rheumatoid arthritis & osteoarthritis
    • Plantar fasciitis
  • Wound healing
  • Sports injuries

Since laser therapy can treat a wide range of conditions, Remi uses a number of medical & therapeutic laser systems to achieve optimum results for each particular situation. These systems, Theralase therapeutic laser systems, LightForce therapy lasers (by LiteCure Medical) and BioFlex Laser Therapy are all longstanding providers within the industry.

cupping

Treatments for soft tissue conditions and musculoskeletal tension & pain.

Myofascial Cupping Technique™ involves the gliding of negatively pressurized cups over the body with the assistance of massage cream and can be accompanied by joint mobilization.

The technique, performed at a pressure level that is almost painless, is very different to traditional cupping and importantly, marking the skin is not part of the desired treatment outcome.

What makes MCT unique is that it ‘lifts and separates’ soft tissue, known as negative or tensional pressure, potentially increasing nutrient-rich blood supply to the tissue.

Some of the benefits that can be achieved through MCT are:

  • Eliminate myofascial trigger points, areas in the fascia (layers of soft, connective tissue) that can cause pain; these areas are some times referred to as “knots”.
  • Reduce restrictive and sometimes painful fascial adhesions common with repetitive movement originating from sports and the workplace.
  • Reducing adhesions while encouraging optimal hydration of soft tissue the Myofascial Cupping Technique™ can assist in minimizing the incidence of injury & maintaining functional soft tissue.
